25 — what?
  • The door barged open. The person behind the door paused on his track, trying to catch his breath.

'You have to come look at this, quick!'

    'What? What's the matter?'

'Can't talk right now. Come on!'

You rushed out of your room with alarmed expression. He acted as if it is a life and death situation, what would it be?

'Elevator is too slow, let's use stairs.'

'Are you for real?' You said in a high voice, but ran after his back anyway.

When you reached the ground floor, you want to collapsed right there. You ran down from the tenth floor for god's sake!

'We don't have time to stop, let's hurry up!' He ushered you out of the building.

'Are you on a dose or something? Why are you so energetic.'

'No, this is my usual self.'

    'I doubt it,' you muttered.

Both of you ran along the sidewalk, you realized you were running towards the riverside. There were some people here and there preparing for the local festival that will take place tomorrow.

He led you to the bridge and then stopped mid-way.

    'We're here.'

    'And what does it mean?'

    'Just a few seconds.'

Your frown turned into an awe when the path along the river was brighten up by the light. It was beautiful.

    'Happy birthday,' he said.

You glanced at the town's clock tower, it was midnight—your birthday started at this moment.

'So you were rushing me because you want to be here on time? That's unnecessary you know. It can be ten minutes after midnight and I still feel that this is amazing.'

'You're dropping a romantic mood I'm trying to make,' he pouted.

'I almost panted to death running down the stairs. I think there were something serious going on. I was worried to death. If I don't know you love me, I might think that you hate me so much that you're trying to kill me.'

'And you're already destroy all the mood, but yes, I love you anyway.'

    'You're forgiven this time.'

'But doesn't it feel good when your fear was lighten, your feeling was relieved. I'm trying to show you the philosophy of life.'

'Your brain is really like a wind, coming up with the excuses like that.' You mimicked the quote sign.

'Thanks,' he bowed like an artist does to the standing ovation.

    'No, thank you.' You replied.
