17 — ache
  • What's the difference between pain and ache?

Pain is a feeling of discomfort your body made, it may be caused from the stimulated sensory nerves. It's a physical hurt with vary intensities.

Ache—ache is persistent than that, it's a prolonged pain. It may not as intense as pain, but it's harder to ignore.

And then there's a heartache, it's the worst of all.

You don't know how everyone can overcome this bitter experience. You feel like a ship without anchor, pointless, aimless, purposeless.

You used to scold your friends when they had their hearts broken and lived their lives like a zombies. You used to think you're tough, but you're wrong.

You're sitting on a random bench in a park, watching children messing around the playground, you envy them.

You see them whispering to each other, then the most brave-looking boy runs towards you, in his hand holding a flower (you notice that it's one of the flowers that planted around the playground, the boy was definitely pick it from there).

'Y-you look so sad, so we think of a-anything that ever cheer us up. We think that something colorful will make you feel better—l-like us do!'

You accept the gift, 'thank you, say thanks to them for me.'

    'Umm!'

    '...'

'Can I ask why you sad?'

'My heart aches,' strange, I've never been so good around children. But at this time they really calm me.

'Mom says that if you're aching somewhere, you pat them carefully with love. And pooof! It stops! I'll show you.'

He pat me on my left knee and make a poof sound.

    'There, there, it'll get better.'

Oddly, it did—not with my knee but my heart.
