16 — joy
  • When you were little you found joy in the most simplest way.

It's getting more complicated as you grow older and older.

Right then you might laugh your heart out just by running around the courtyard.

Right now you're too tired from everything, you don't have an energy to play anymore.

So many projects' going on, yet you can't squeeze the ideas out of your head. You're hopeless. You want to die for so many times in a day (but you know you don't have guts to kill yourself anyway).

The way to go into a higher place in the pyramid of life is never easy.

Has anyone died just from living their struggling life?

You have to clear your head so you decide to go to buy some snacks from a convenience store.

You are contemplating between the original and barbecue flavored chips when someone calls you.

    'Hey, midnight snack?'

'Oh, hey!' You're surprised. You don't expect to find him in this unexpected time.

You two are classmates. And yes, you might just a little bit curious about him. Your eyes are always wander to him when you're unaware.

'You act like you see a ghost. Am I that scary?' He chuckle, cutely.

'Oh no, no. I was just surprised. And yeah to your question, snacks might help me get an idea for this literature paper.'

'I'm on that paper too! How far are you?'

'Not even start. I kept staring at my laptop screen hoping it to type itself.'

    'You'll think of something soon.'

    'Thanks.'

'I'll grab something over there, see you in class,' he pats your shoulder and walk away.

Well, your energy for tonight's through-the-dawn work is up.

You choose the original flavored chips and walk over to the cashier when he holds you up again.

    'Wait!'

    'Hmm?'

'Here, drink this. I'll help you active—at least it helps for me.'

'Don't bother. You keep it. I can buy myself, thanks for suggestion,' I smile.

'Nope, take this. I insist,' he shove the paid bottle in my hand. 'I'll better go before you give it back, bye!'

I look after his back with a smile.

Maybe you don't have to be the one who found joy, it will come to you in the most simplest way too.
