Teeming

It's teeming down. The rain and my tears. Everything turns dark, cold and blue. My head spins like a thunderstorm. This wouldn’t happen if I surrendered long time ago. If I just accepted my death, everyone would be happy.

“Molly! Someone helps me! My cat isn’t moving! ”

I remember that voice. It’s Mrs. Molly owner. I climb up to the tree and see human is holding Mrs. Molly’s body out of the house. She’s died. I can tell in a second.

“This is too much! Stop it! Where are you Mr. Satan? Answer me! ”

“Why do I have to listen to you, sweetie? ” Disgusting voice's ringing around. How can I mistake him as God? He truly is a devil.

“I won’t be in your hatred game any longer. Stop using me! ”

“Sorry, dear. You are already in. And there is no way out. Don’t be so angry. First time is always the hardest. You won’t feel anything on the third kill. Just think about how much you want to be with Riley. I can extend your thirty days to a year or ten years, if you keep entertaining me like this. I kinda like you, you know? So innocent. So pure. Now you are tainted. Your hand are dirty.”

“I don’t want another second with him! I don’t want to live anymore! ”

“Say it to his face then. If you dare to shatter his heart, I might reconsider.”

“Leon. What are you doing up there? I didn’t know you can climb the tree.” Riley voice raised a second after Satan voice vanished. I shrink.

This is the first time I realise the word ‘devil’. Mr. Satan will do everything to crush my feeling and Riley’s. My head blanks. My heart beats slowly like it didn’t want to beat. I can’t look to Riley face. I’m just sitting on the big branch. Hiding my face away in those leaves.

“Leon...Are you crying? ”

“No.”

“My little liar. Come here. Let me punish you.”

“No.”

“Okay.”

What’s OK? I look through thick leaves to see if he’s gone. I can’t see him on the ground. But I hear something's coming. Swiftly, his strong arm pulls me in a tender embrace. Riley climbs on the same tree. Comforting me the way only him can do.

“You are late so I’m searching for you. What’s wrong? ”

“I can’t...tell you.”

“Ah, I’m sorry. I know you have many secrets to keep. I won’t ask. Just let me hug you, OK? Don’t cry alone. It hurts me too.”

“No. You can’t be hurt. What did I do? Why are you hurt? ” Confused. I snuggle to his chest. Finding warm to calm me down.

“When someone you care about is hurt, you also hurt. Is it reasonable? ”

“You care about me? ”

“You want me to say it, huh? Fine. I like you. I head over heels for you now, silly.”

“What? ”

He passionately kisses me. But I don’t respond the way I used to. The greatest fear became true. How? How is this happen? Riley is gentle, charming, smart and there are many reasons to fall in love with. But with me? An ugly stray cat who killed many cats in one day.

“Hey, why are you crying harder? ”

“You can’t. You can’t like me.”

Oh, please. Stop kissing me. Riley, you are a cheater. You don’t listen to what I say.

“You like me. I like you. It’s mutual now. Nothing in the way. Don’t estimate that I will stay still, watching you leave after you make me go crazy like this. Take responsibility, Leon. Look at me. Whatever or whoever make you cry, I will hunt it down for you. Just tell me what’s bothering you all this time.”

For a second, I see his angel wings behind his back. I believe he can take me out of this painful thing. But no! He will be Satan’s pray if I let him know.

“Riley, we can’t be together.”

“Why? ”

“I’m not who you think I am. I’m sorry. I shouldn't come to you.”

“Stop this nonsense excuse. I want you to answer me just one question.” His hand softly touches my cheek. Move closer till I feel his breath. “Do you love me? ”

My tears are far more faster than heavy rain. Sadness teeming down my face. Rolling down to Riley’s shirt. I’m afraid this sinful ocean will sink both me and Riley. But I desperately can’t lie to him anymore.

“I love you, Riley. I love you too much and It’s killing me.”

"มอลลี่! ใครก็ได้ช่วยที! แมวของฉันไม่ขยับเลย! "

ผมจำเสียงนั้นได้ เสียงเจ้าของคุณนายมอลลี่ ผมปีนขึ้นไปบนต้นไม้และเห็นมนุษย์กำลังอุ้มร่างของคุณนายมอลลี่ออกจากบ้าน เธอตายแล้ว ผมบอกได้ในเสี้ยววินาที

"นี่มันมากเกินไป! หยุดเถอะ! คุณอยู่ที่ไหนคุณซาตาน ตอบผม! "

"ทำไมฉันต้องฟังนาย ที่รัก" เสียงอันน่ารังเกียจดังอยู่รอบๆ ผมเข้าใจเขาผิดว่าเป็นพระเจ้าได้ยังไง เขามันคือปีศาจ

"ผมจะไม่อยู่ในเกมแห่งความเกลียดชังนี่อีกแล้ว หยุดใช้ผมสักที! "

"ขอโทษนะที่รัก แต่นายเข้าไปแล้ว และมันไม่มีทางออก อย่าโกรธนักเลย ครั้งแรกมันยากเสมอ นายจะไม่รู้สึกอะไรกับการฆ่าครั้งที่สาม แค่คิดว่านายต้องการอยู่กับไรลีย์มากขนาดไหนก็พอ ฉันเพิ่มเวลาสามสิบวันของนายให้เป็นหนึ่งปีหรือสิบปีได้นะ เพียงแค่นายทำให้ฉันสนุกแบบนี้ ฉันชอบนายรู้ใช่ไหม ช่างใสซื่อ บริสุทธิ์ ตอนนี้นายมีรอยด่างพร้อย มือของนายสกปรก"

"ผมไม่ต้องการสักวินาทีเพื่ออยู่กับเขา! ผมไม่อยากมีชีวิตอีกแล้ว! "

"พูดต่อหน้าเขาสิ ถ้านายกล้าทำให้หัวใจเขาแตกสลาย ฉันอาจลองพิจารณา"

"ลีออน นายทำอะไรอยู่บนนั้น ฉันไม่ยักรู้ว่านายปีนต้นไม้ได้" เสียงของไรลีย์ดังขึ้นทันทีหลังจากเสียงของซาตานหายไป ผมหดตัว

นี่เป็นครั้งแรกที่ผมตระหนักได้ถึงคำว่า 'ปีศาจ' ซาตานจะทำทุกวิถีทางเพื่อขยี้ความรู้สึกของผมและไรลีย์ หัวของผมว่างเปล่า หัวใจเต้นช้าเหมือนไม่อยากจะเต้น ผมไม่อาจมองหน้าไรลีย์ เพียงแค่นั่งบนกิ่งต้นไม้ใหญ่ ซ่อนหน้าของผมในเหล่าใบไม้

อะไรคือโอเค ผมมองผ่านใบไม้หนาเพื่อดูว่าเขาไปรึยัง ผมไม่เห็นเขาบนพื้น แต่ได้ยินเสียงอะไรบางอย่างกำลังมา ทันใดนั้นอ้อมแขนแข็งแรงของเขาดึงผมเข้าไปในอ้อมกอดที่อ่อนโยน ไรลีย์ปีนขึ้นมาบนต้นไม้ต้นเดียวกับผม ปลอบผมด้วยวิธีซึ่งมีแค่เขาคนเดียวที่ทำได้

"นายมาสาย ฉันหานายไปทั่ว เกิดอะไรขึ้น"

"ผม...บอกไม่ได้"

"อา ฉันขอโทษ ฉันรู้ว่านายมีความลับมากมายที่ต้องเก็บไว้ ฉันจะไม่ถาม แค่ให้ฉันกอดนายโอเคไหม อย่าร้องไห้คนเดียว มันทำฉันเจ็บไปด้วย"

"ไม่ คุณเจ็บไม่ได้นะ ผมทำอะไร ทำไมคุณเจ็บปวด" ผมสับสน มุดเข้าหาอกของเขา หาความอบอุ่นที่ช่วยให้ผมใจเย็นลง

"เวลาคนที่นายแคร์เจ็บปวด นายก็เจ็บปวด นั่นไม่สมเหตุสมผลเหรอ"

"คุณแคร์ผม? "

"อยากให้ฉันพูดใช่ไหม หือ? ก็ได้ ฉันชอบนาย ตอนนี้หลงนายหัวปักหัวปำแล้วเด็กโง่"

เขาจูบผมอย่างดูดดื่ม แต่ผมไม่ได้ตอบรับในแบบที่เคยทำ ความกลัวสูงสุดของผมกลายเป็นจริง ได้ยังไง มันเกิดขึ้นได้ยังไง ไรลีย์นั้นอ่อนโยน มีเสน่ห์ ฉลาด และมีมากมายหลายเหตุผลให้ตกหลุมรัก แต่กับผม? แมวจรจัดน่าเกลียดซึ่งฆ่าแมวมากมายในวันเดียว

"เฮ้ ทำไมร้องไห้หนักขึ้นล่ะ"

"ไม่ได้ คุณชอบผมไม่ได้"

โอ้ ได้โปรด หยุดจูบผม ไรลีย์ คุณมันขี้โกง คุณไม่ฟังสิ่งที่ผมบอก

"นายชอบฉัน ฉันชอบนาย เราใจตรงกันแล้ว ไม่มีอะไรขวางทาง อย่าเดาว่าฉันจะอยู่เฉยๆ มองดูนายไป หลังจากที่นายทำให้ฉันเป็นบ้าแบบนี้ รับผิดชอบซะลีออน มองฉัน อะไรก็ตามหรือใครก็ตามที่ทำให้นายร้องไห้ ฉันจะจัดการมันให้นาย แค่บอกฉัน อะไรรบกวนนายตลอดเวลาที่ผ่านมา"

ชั่วขณะหนึ่ง ผมเห็นปีกเทวดาจากหลังของเขา ผมเชื่อว่าเขาสามารถพาผมออกจากความเจ็บปวดนี่ได้ แต่ว่าไม่! เขาจะกลายเป็นเหยื่อของซาตาน ถ้าผมให้เขารู้

"ไรลีย์ เราอยู่ด้วยกันไม่ได้"

"ทำไม"

"ผมไม่ใช่คนที่คุณคิดว่าผมเป็น ผมขอโทษ ผมไม่ควรมาหาคุณ"

"หยุดข้ออ้างไร้สาระนี่ซะ แค่ตอบคำถามฉันคำถามเดียว" มือของเขาสัมผัสแก้มผมอย่างนุ่มนวล ขยับเข้าใกล้จนผมรู้สึกได้ถึงลมหายใจของเขา "นายรักฉันไหม"

น้ำตาของผมนั้นไหลเร็วยิ่งกว่าฝนที่ตกหนัก ความเศร้าหลั่งไหลลงบนใบหน้า ร่วงหล่นลงบนเสื้อของไรลีย์ ผมกลัวว่าทะเลแห่งความบาปนี้จะจมเราทั้งคู่ ผมและไรลีย์ แต่ผมสิ้นหวังที่จะโกหกเขาอีกต่อไป

"ผมรักคุณ ไรลีย์ ผมรักคุณมากไป จนมันแทบฆ่าผม"

Teeming คับคั่ง เทออก คำนี้มักใช้กับฝน แต่ฟังแล้วคิดถึงน้ำตา

ลีออนจะหนีไปไหนไกลได้ มาอยู่บนต้นไม้พี่ยังตามเจอ 

ไรลีย์รู้ใจตัวเองแล้ว และคงไม่ยอมรับฟังเหตุผลที่น้องหนีง่ายๆ

มาช้าอีกแล้ว ตอนนี้เลยยาววววว ฉลองลอยกระทงกับน้องแมวและพี่ไรลีย์ 

เขาจูบกันแบบเศร้าๆ บนต้นไม้แหละ งุ้ยยย

ทยอยลงให้ครบ 31 ตอนเน้อ
