you died in my poemssomedaemornings
blooming summer
  • There came the summer’s boy, with joy and glee,

The sun-kissed skin and eyes as bright as day.

There came the winter’s boy, with great glory,

The snowy hair and eyes like stars in gray.

Their fates entwined, aligned like seas and skies.

In silence, roses bloomed among the thorns.

Their love concealed, unseen from midday’s light.

In dreams they held each other until dawn.

But fate played against the angels' blessed will,

One called to war, the other left forlorn.

Lilies withered, while roses bloomed until

Came the last time for the love they mourned and gone.

But their souls will shine like brightest starry lights,

With love eternal, ever in their sight.
