During exam period like this, I always find something to do rather than studying. This time I was searching for some new shows to watch and I found a show called “Emily in Paris” starring by my favorite actress, Lily Collins, so this show is really interesting for me.
I found an article on Emily in Paris which is about the story behind the production including the inspirations, a producer and a creator’s views on the show, and a show's concept. The reason why I find this article interesting is because I love reading the glimpse and background story of any kind of entertainment. It also makes me anticipate on the show more (it is coming out this Friday! October 2,2020!) This story is about 3-5 minute read and it is pretty long for me since I do not really read that often so the reading strategy I used was Support Strategies. For instance, I used an online dictionary for the vocabulary I did not know or was not sure if I got the meaning right, in order to be able to understand the reading and context right away. Though I understand the text almost completely thoroughly, I still I need to improve my reading skill. What I will do to help improve my reading skills is that I will try using another reading strategies especially Problem Solving strategies because I want to try reading something more difficult in aspect of vocabulary and I will read it without using any support at the first time, so that will make me reread it so I will get the point more clearly. I have not enjoyed reading for a very long time but big thanks to this article, I have come back to feeling a refreshing vibe while reading again.
