About us
Lives Lived Well is a leading support organisation for people who have problems with alcohol and drugs as well as other addictions such as gambling and associated mental health issues. We provide support services including residential rehabilitation and community counselling in more than 40 locations across Queensland and NSW.
The Gambling Intervention service provides targeted support to our current AOD clients who are identified as having co-existing gambling concerns. This role is based in Beenleigh. You will be part of a team with colleagues located in Rockhampton, Woolloongabba (Brisbane) and Townsville.
About the role
We are looking for a passionate Gambling Intervention Counsellor Case Manager to deliver bio-psychosocial individual counselling and case management to our existing AOD Clients identified with a comorbid gambling concerns.
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Provide high quality engagement, assessment, counselling, case management and support services to AOD and Gambling clients, and their families, using evidence-based practices
* Work together with LLW AOD Community Services and Residential Services staff to manage and offer treatment for comorbid gambling and AOD issues
* Manage a case load of clients, through providing support, service coordination, referral and advocacy to assist clients in achieving their goals with problem gambling
* Work with clients to develop, implement and review individual treatment goals
* Ensure continuity of care by effectively communicating within the multidisciplinary team and across interfaces with other health care providers

About you
You will demonstrate a passion to service delivery and commitment to continuously improving service delivery and program outcomes. Your ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders and provide specialised gambling intervention will ensure success in the role. Additionally, you will also possess the following skills and experience:
* Tertiary qualifications in social work, counselling or mental health (or related discipline) or demonstrated experience in Gambling or AOD and currently studying towards a tertiary qualification
* Applied knowledge in contemporary evidence based counselling practice, case management and intake and assessment
* Demonstrated knowledge and/or experience working with clients with problematic gambling or AOD concerns
* Experience and understanding of working with AOD and Gambling comorbidities

The base salary range for this role is $72,361.12 to $86,529.04 per annum + superannuation + salary packaging. Your remuneration will be negotiated based on your skills and experience. We are fortunate that our employees can also access salary packaging which increases their take home pay.
