(1) Always with him

He always smells like clean shampoo and his favorite cologne.
He wakes up at 6 every morning with little yawn before going straight to the toilet.
He brushes his teeth – of course, with mint flavored toothpaste.
So, every time I kiss him, sometimes sloppy, sometimes softly,
he always tastes a little bit like mint and fresh strawberries.

He loves colors, but almost all his clothes are in black and white.
I ask him why, he doesn’t say anything but kiss me at the top of my bare shoulder.

He draws a lot lately. I want to have a look at those sketches, but he always keeps them away from me.
One day he falls asleep with his sketchbook open on his lap. I glance at it—
and see the drawing of my face.
I smile, tuck the bed sheet around him and go to sleep with him in my arms.
